Default Lacassine 3/28/15

Took my wife and 4 y/o son to the refuge today. He was able to catch his 1st fish all by himself. Brought home 14, should of only been 12 but the little man wanted to keep his catch. Luckily I was able to talk him out of the baby catfish he caught

Great! His face shows it all.
I have a fishing buddy (grandson) who looks like your son.

The pool has a 40 hp rule. So here's an odd question.

If one had a boat with say, a 70 hp engine that was totally disabled, that being...say, no battery, no gas tanks, no spark plugs, no key, etc., could they launch and use their trolling motor without being in violation?

It would beat standing on the bank, even if one only moved a couple of blocks around a launch to throw a few baits. Anyone?

Don't know about the pool but at the LSU lakes (no gas motors allowed) as long as the motor is tilted up out of the water you are ok
