Seriously? 200 miles on less than half a tank of gas. Unless you have one monster of a fuel tank that's pretty dang good.

i just looked at my gas gauge, the needle is in between the quarter and half tank lines. i cruised 40 mph and under all day. probably would have burned less if i didnt have to put my trim tabs down for a little stretch.

Hey no offense Speck but I think you just failed about 4th grade math. 200 miles for 50 gallons of fuel = 4 mpg.

Regarding mpg, 5.333 with a 175 hp is awesome, no doubt about it. The best that I have ever gotten with my 19 Frontier with a 150 Etec is 4.5, but I normally run about 4 mpg. BTW, with your rpm's "matching" your speed, that's about as perfect as you can get to zero prop slippage. Bet you never sell that Zuke Can't wait to get started downloading sonar to send to "Wishing". Awesome project you two conceived of. |

Sorry Speck I get how you did the math. I figured he was talking fuel burned and not size of tank.
There had to be a good explanation because us Chem E's don't make math errors.... |
