Do you smell gas while trying to crank it like it's flooded? Sounds like you have a plugged jet in the carb and the fuel isn't getting to the motor, however odd that it started the other day then this. If you smell fuel then the float's probably stuck in the carb and flooding out the motor. I would think you would have mentioned smelling fuel though if that was the case. It would stink pretty good.
