Default Big Lake Night Fishing???

Has anyone been trying the specs/flounder/reds on Big Lake at night recently? I'm looking to make a trip out this evening and wondering if anyone has had any success and what methods were used.

TIA for any pointers!

The spec and flounder bite has really picked up. Reds have been good for quite a while. Last night a chartreuse swimming mullet gulp was all you needed. Slow on the bottom caught flounder and working it higher faster worked great for the trout and reds.

Trout fishing has been very poor all year up until last week. I do not have a report for this week.

Last Thursday evening/night my son and I went out from 5 until 1030 Pm with live shrimp under a cork and chart. gulp mullet on bottom. We picked up 9 reds/6 nice flounder/3 trout/ and 1 sheep head.

The trip was more about my son getting time on the water and trying to get him to crank in a few. He used live while I mostly fished the gulp. If we had both used live I think we would of had better numbers.

Launched at Calc. Point and ran down to north Turners near cut off point. Tide was going out pretty good. When the tide slacked so did the bite.

Not a over the top outing but the size of the flounder made the trip for me.

Good Luck !
