Yep, it gets really shallow around there on low tide. My boat runs fairly shallow and I've still had way too many close calls to keep going through there. Now I run down 4-mile 100% of the time when I'm fishing that side. Like Quackhead said if you go a little too far to the left or right - you're stuck. It's not a good feeling when you're kicking up mud and looking at birds not getting their ankles wet. all u can do is put the hammer down and pray that you don't stop until you hit deeper water. If you look on Bing maps you'll see where you need to run but I find it too risky to keep going that route. Good luck. Be safe.
