Default Davis road boat launch

Has anyone ever used the Davis road launch north of the jetty pier? Is it open?

Is it a nice launch? Fine for a 19 ft boat?

Yes, fine for 19'. Used to be a little trash around the launch but I think it was cleaned up. Was there a couple weeks ago and someone was launching a large, probably 26-30' offshore center console boat there.

Its an ok launch but you must stay directly in line with the launch. Its very shallow off to the sides of the launch. I found that out by kicking up mud.

If there is a build up of seaweed on the ramp, this will cause your tires to slip. Clean off the seaweed before backing into the water.

Also watch for large crew boat. They will really move the water around the dock and can bang up your boat.
