Default Crab prices

Anyone know what the going rate for crabs - being what the wholesale crab shacks are paying the crabber - is these days. I'd like to buy them off the boat, make it worth his while to stop.

Hopefully they not leftovers from Saturday (not a big deal as long as they are alive). Most docks are closed on Sunday so buying them on a Monday they not as fresh.

Well .. Don't know what they going for from crabbers.. If u come to Abbeville.. Richard's has dem boiled for $12 ea. for #1 selects. Regulars for $5 ea.

So I go and eat 3 select crabs, w/fixings, for about $55 with a few beers.. Still way cheaper than going catch them myself.

Tony seafood here has gone from selling crabs by the dozen to selling them by the Lb. #1s are $6.50 lb. That would make a dozen close to $40.
But they cater to the card swiping public that don't look at the price.
