Don't most of these rod makers use pretty much the same blanks. I don't think the small rod builders like Deuce make their own blanks so are they really all that different?

Yup, blanks, guides, reel seats, grips. They are all basically using the same components. They buy the pieces and assemble.

So if that is indeed true, then there isn't much that sets one builder from another other than looks and combinations of materials that they offer in their lineup. So comparing them is a moot point really.

That's the way I see it. But that's just my opinion. It's not like they are manufacturing every part themselves.
