Rattlesnake

He was chillin. I didn't realize it was a rattlesnake until I was passing him. I had to back up to him to take pics. He didn't seem to mind a bit. Haven't seen one around here in several years so I was excited. It was also the first time my wife had ever seen one that wasn't in a zoo aquarium. We see all kinds of critters on that road going home but it was our first rattlesnake.

Yep. About 15 miles SW of Alexandria. I drive that road through the woods on my way home from work. Helps me wind down.
