I think you shoud go try dry reef!! bring a big anchor or tie off on a well.
just kidding, if you can't find a deep hole in the marsh to fish on the north side of the bay, cross to marsh island and find you a deep intersection and fish the bottom. north wind in vermillion bay is usually a day better spent somewhere else!!! good luck
