Default trick for slipping soft plastic

do you have a pc of rubber band inside the worm weight too?

after your rig is set up, just loop an extra piece of string through the weight then back through it and lay the rubber band in the loop end and pull it into the weight. its pretty straight forward and as simple as that

Default trick for slipping soft plastics

I buy the little rubber bands 250 pk. for about $1 at dollar stores. They are also great for wacky worm rigging. Just have to loop around the worm 2 or 3 times. Used inside the weight it will peg the sinker wherever you move it to.
