I run a 1556 with a huge front deck, rear enclosed with gun trays on both sides. My tohatsu 40/50 would push it about 40 with 2 guys, 3 batteries, 82# thrust motorguide, and fishing gear. If your M40D is stock, it should run 35-38 mph with the same load. PM sent with my number.
