First time in a boat at the jetties

I can see math geek enjoys catching bull reds as much as I do specks lol. Great write up. Any newbie should read that. I like to fish them with much lighter gear but I usually leave them to others in boat after one anyway. I usually always release any over 25" but have kept a few this year to eat. The one tip I would give that hasn't already been said is I would fish Monday-Thursday. Weekends will be tough finding right spot this time of year at jetties.

If there's a crowd, you don't need to be at one of the prime spots shown on the map. Just get close. And use crab. I think the most we've seen at once on the W side (outside) is 6 boats. There's plenty of room for a good spot with 6 boats in all that area.
