Thanks for the input so far. With our river system here there isn't from what i have seen a typical drop shot fishery. The northern section of river has current most of the time. But when you get closer to moss bluff it becomes tidal. We don't have long points or secondary points like you see on some other rivers or lakes. Yes we have steep bluffs, cuts, and a lot of fallen trees.

Sounds like a shakey head jig might work better than a drop shot rig in your area
