Going to be an east wind Friday. If you're launching from Hebert's, I'd either chase the guides around as the others recommend (not) or try around Pelican Point if the water isn't totally nasty. There's always a chance for birds chasing bait in that area if the water isn't too miserable.

If there is water movement at any of the weirs south of Hebert's, that's usually a good sign that there will be redfish.

If you're launching up north, I'd run to the cuts along the salt ditch around Black Lake and fish whatever moving water I could find.

Take all of that with a grain of salt. I've had more mediocre days on Big Lake than good ones.

I don't give good advice but it's probably better than nothing.

And don't forget to post a report (good or bad) if you go.
