I'll weigh in...

I don't have a problem with any of the protest.. If I did protest at my place of work.. Guess what.. I'd be disciplined, all the way up to being fired..

My problem with them is they are doing it at their place of work.. Go do it on your own time etc..

Again This is their place of work... Here's a novel idea.. The NFL commissioner could fine each team say 500K every game they do this.. Then give the money to some organization that feeds the poor, or hurricane relief etc.. Then let's see how fast they stay up...

He'd probably be replaced pretty quick if he did. I mean, Goodell works for the owners, does he not?

Agreed on the setting of the protest though. But, they are doing it because they have that stage.

This is what happens when athletes/actors are placed on a pedestal. They have been given that platform by us. And then people gripe when they try to use it for something they believe in.

Hell, I don't know. Ask them. Inequality, brotherhood, unity. Whatever it is, they are acting on it on a platform that we gave them. And now people are mad that they are doing it.

It's as dumb as a parent giving their kid everything he/she wants, and then getting mad when the kid is a spoiled brat.

WE created the monster! And now people are mad that the monster is misbehaving.

True, we gave em the platform and the monster is misbehaving. You act like we have no right to be mad about it. I say if we gave em the platform, we can taketh the platform if we choose and we can be mad about it if we like. What's your issue with folks being upset about it? Yeah it's our fault, don't mean we can't be mad or that we have to continue to give them that platform.

I think I've made it clear I have no issue with the people who are offended by this.

I just find it hillarious that many of these same people also complain about everyone getting offended over simple things, and running to facebook, twitter, or online forums to complain about it. And here they are doing the same thing.

And then there's the fact that no one has to watch it. I probably spend half the Sundays in football season not watching football. Half the Saturdays too. Has nothing to do with being offended, I just havd better things to do. And my life goes on. And I don't feel the need to run to SaltyCajun to tell people that I didn't watch football.

You sure like to read between the lines, and insert your opinion of what you think you read, rather than taking what is written for face value.
