Will be knocked back I would imagine. But the people will be in there thick thick just like usual the first 2 weeks.
After about 10-14 days is when I start. That place gets to crazy. I have seen to many close calls in boats and almost had some myself. Not worth it. Good luck to all who go and be safe. Catch a big one and send me a pic. Lol.

I sure hope so. last year was my first year fishing it. and the few places I fished had some really thick grass. I actually went during the times you mentioned but it was during the work week and even though the parking lots were full, I didn't find it that hard to run and fish without being on top of someone else. I enjoyed it and looking forward to it again this year

I usually wait a little longer for the same reason. Opening weekend has always been crazy...even when we had to launch at Humble Landing or Teppies and pull over the rollers. Of course back then it had not silted in as much and there were a lot more fishable areas.
