Fished the whole day today. Wind was bad.
Started out in west cove, worked around the island and some reefs before wind picked up. No hits, no bird action.
Then worked the cut, the edges of ship channel outside of west cove, around the island across from west cove.
Then hit the mouth of oyster bayou, worked the banks and docks all the way back into west cove, then fished our way down the whole south shoreline back to the launch. Zero hookups threw DSL, corks, and gulp.
This afternoon went to spicers, tried some shrimp but no takers besides hard heads, fished kelso, the cuts in the marsh, then worked our way up to the salt ditch and fished all of the cuts into black lake.
Black lake was way to rough and muddy from the wind.
Picked up one solid red throwing artificial at the grasslines on a canal into black lake.
Slow day! Never saw a single guide boat anywhere we went either.
Back at it tomorrow. Trying to decide where to fish!
