solid fish, nice catch. I dont think it will be possible to block ship traffic in the pass.

There worried about the ships that run in the gulf in the oil bringing the oil into the bay into the port. Who knows,all we can do is wait and see.

thanks fellas, we had a great time, the trout still dont seem to be in that frenzy yet,but should be any time now( I hope) THe only negative of the day I forgot to mention,was that I lost my anchor at one of the platforms. I musta hooked something solid and I couldnt get it off. Anyway, I had to end up cutting my rope and leaving it. I had just talked to some guys in a boat named day b 4 from crowely and they had hooked a pipe with their anchor at the platform before. All I could think about was another dadgum oil leak in the gulf while I was pulling on that anchor rope.lol

Had that happen to me around dry reef last summer. Sucks!!!

lmao i caught an anchor with my anchor once at dry reef!! One of those like mushroom spiked ones! I think i might have your anchor

I lost one at the hammock 2 summers ago. The turn buckle that held the anchor to the rope came unscrewed and when I threw it out it just kept on going. Sux, them little bastids aint cheap.
