Been knowing about about the chip in the fiberglass but I just noticed the crack. That had to happen in Grand Isle a couple weekends ago cause it wasen't there the last time I cleaned it. Guess it's going to the shop now. And there is a pic of the fading black. Man this makes me sick!!!

Hard to tell from the pic, but does the stain look like it has set "into" the rub rail ???

not sure about cost but I think I would change the white to black and the hull looks like it just needs a good compound job

It has to be set in cause I have been trying to get it white again for a year. Man when I saw that crack I just stopped cleaning and went inside. I have 4 days off coming up so I plan on trying some of these products you guys told me about and I'm going to have to go by a shop to see how much to fix the damage.

Thats what im thinking. Do you guys know if that piece just slides out or pops out? I guess I have to go by a Nautic Star dealer to find it too.

Try Magic Eraser & Dawn to clean that rail up. Get 'em at any grocery store. Looks like creosote? Hard to tell on the photos. If creosote stains, then I would try some Bug and Tar Remover on a cloth on one spot - maybe a 2 inch section to see if that removes most of it - then wash with Dawn and re-wax if you like it. Get a good glass man to look at the sore spots. Good luck.

Your fiberglass guy can probably put you onto a different style/color trim... Good luck with the repairs... Hydro |
