In all honesty : when u fish with a guide get Ur money worth!! Ask a million questions. Why r we here, what r u lookin for condition wise, water color, water temp, depth, bottom contour, etc. And most importantly watch the guide fish. Mimic his every move!
If u were n med school to b a surgeon u would mimic that surgeon. So do the same on the boat!
U can learn alot with a guide. I did it with Dumas.

Based on my experiences with him, Captain Greg is a stand-up guy and an excellent charter captain. I've had some of my best days on Lake P with him, and I've fished with them all.

No bearing on his fishing ability, but I was working on a story about a young angler from New Orleans, and we needed some on-the-water pics. Greg volunteered his time, his boat and his fish to help this young lady out - no questions asked.

That's the kind of stuff that folks don't hear about.

The "Two Fish" is a joke. Actually, his service is named "To Fish Charters".

Greg is a fine guide and great company in the boat. He's just got to learn that the boat stays in the water and not ON the dock.

I like Greg I have talked to him a few times in person and a few times on the phone. If your a young fisherman on Lake P I would use Greg for advice as he will tell all!
I have heard other guides try to cut him down in front of people but I have NEVER Heard Greg one time talk bad about any Guide on his lake! Greg is a really cool dude once you get to talk to him.

Being an avid lake P fisherman my WHOLE life growing up with a camp on little woods.

the top 3 bar none artificial bait fisherman are

Dudley Vandenborne

D Geohagen ( Dudley's Partner in crime and a canal named after him and partner in V an G lure)

Terry Googins

The otherts guys aren't even in that class, Dudley has 50 trout over 9 lbs D has over 20 and Terry has more than we can count, and all these are on artificial yes dudley will use live when on a charter but by himself he and the rest are artifial hard and soft plastic fools and, yes chink is good however lets talk all around fishing live and plastic and he's not in this group.

These three guys taught step by step to greg , eric and chas how to fish lake P. just cause someone takes alot of pictures with fish and does alot of shows means nothing.. Greg is great guy u can trust him

Also Kenny Kreeger taught these three how to fish too... from diapers he use to take them on his boat when they were a kid.

Kreeger, Dudley and D they use to call the 3 stooges many a years ago asked um, they were the best and still are except in my opionion Googins is alot better that Kenny Kreeger, these are the Seniors been fishing this lake for 35- 45 years.. the juniors you guys talk about maybe been fishing it for 10 years at the most... take that to the bank because when the fish ain't biting these are pot licking the Seniors to find out where, ... there on speedial...

If you haven't fished lake P your whole life then you don't know what these men have accomplished...

New to the site, great site Dubya, take it easy..

the fish in the lake right now just like the last 3 weeks have been in lakeshore estates on the shorelines in the back all the flounder you want in the afternoons till sunset. and pretty specks magic minnow with chartruese tail and marsh minnow purple 4" with chartruese tail 3/8 jig head, bridge reports have been hard days with 5-10 fish per boat if you want to catch more fish lake shore canals.... There are no potlickrs in there, you have to know exactly where to bounce them jigs in the 35 ft holes.

Century Man out
