O Ok,
The those guys make that run a lot.
The tourny i was referring to was out of D'Ibbervillle/ Biloxi.
A lot of the guys ran from there to Delacroix.
I ran my boat with an ESPN film crew for 4 days.
1 day just filming the area and 3 days of tourny action.
Very fun.
A few boats didn't make it across from Biloxi to Delacroix.
Hope all the guys had a safe trip this time!

Ok you probably did run your boat for the Chalmette tournament and they posted a day 1&2 weight of 15.95 & 16.64. Only to lose it to Scott Ritter and Bobby Abruscato after the weights zero'd on day three.

The tournament they posted 23&20lb stringers was in the Biloxi tournament. And yes guys do make that run a lot, Mobile to Biloxi marsh, Biloxi-DelaCroix. Hell I've made the run from Venice to Cocodrie. Not uncommon. Steckler and Lloyd ran from Chalmette to Dularge last year. But I really don't know what I'm talking about. Sorry.

The tourny I was referring to was won by chuck and cj Howard.
I can't remember the exact weights ; more I think about it I wanna say day 1 & day 2 for Thomason & pescay were 20+ and both records.
I do know that team frenette broke down on the way back and the Howard's brought mike back with em so they could make the weight in. Great show of sportsmanship. Team Howard barely made it back in time.

The final day I shadowed team Howard with a photographer and video guy.
They worked one area and caught some nice fish.

But I really don't know what I'm talking about. Sorry.
What u saying?????

Nothing.... I got mixed up with the tournaments and had to look it up.

The link I provided shows results from '09. Tough year for Charlie and Shane. Held lead through 2 tournaments on both days, only to lose it on the final day when weights zero'd. Still managed to out catch the competitions 3 days weight total for both tournaments.

Charlie is a good angler and a great guide. I went on many charters with Charlie and his guides while I was n college. Always had fun and loaded the boat fast!

So from a tourny view, what are the big redfish tournys now?

Money wise HT, I don't see it lasting as long as the IFA has been around. Angler participation wise IFA redfish tour. Gaining most popularity Louisiana Saltwater Series.

Not that year. It was moved from Fla. to Lake Charles due to Katrina.

Congrats to my boy Sean O'Connell! Coming from behind and beating out the best, it couldn't have happened to a better person.
