That's pretty amazing they have been taking about that for so long and it's actually accurate... The one guy said he predicted it on the 9th to hit the first week of July and the models are showing time and location to be accurate!

Hey chief, your link is dead and your picture looks pretty with lots of L's and H's and some red and blue... but i have no idea what it means..

The L over N.O. @ 990 could be nasty.

Easy there chief... I may have lived in yankee land for the last 25 years, But i was born in the South and lived here in LA till i went chasing them $$'s and skirts up north....
but your right... i am a bit yankee... i hope it will get ground off before to long So back to the back, the extreme low pressure of 990 over N.O. would draw in fronts to that area is what your concerned about right? |

No. The 990 over N.O. would be a tropical system, possibly a hurricane or tropical storm.

This forecast model is not one the National Hurricane Center uses, and the reliability of this model is low. The GFDL and GFS are the models they use to predict tropical cyclones.

From what I understand this model has actually been one of the most accurate ones lately...

LOL, HH first of all the model is showing a forecast 228 hrs. out none of the models can predict this far out with any confidence. And yes this model is not on top of the list for the Hurricane center to view, email them they wil be happy to tell you HH stick to poppin welders or whatever you do. LOL

I look at wunderground.com under the dr's blog and they have a bunch of weather students that have all of the models and satellite pics and they are giving this a shot. I'm just glad we aren't getting all the rain that's goi g over Florida right now or it could be bad. Also gonna have to worry about backwater flooding near Lake Ponchatrain and maurepas.

None of the reliable computer models are showing development go to the NHC site its given a less than 10% chance of doing anything tropical, if you look at your computer model on top of this post it is showing a low over southeast la. right now, I am setting in my pool in southeast la nothing but sunshine. I guess if you wish cast long enough something will come LOL

This will be nothing more than increased rain chances.
