Didn't get a good pic of the bars. U can kinda see one of the bars on the edge of his belly in the pic. He has about 4 more big bars on his belly.

Even though it don't turn white and stays blue it is still a snow goose. Just like a black lab and yella lab and a chocolate lab. All same breed, just different colors.

I've seen a cross before and it's head was speckled like that. It does look like the beginning of a bar on it top right side of the breast.

The color of the neck resembles a spec also.

Not mad! I think it's a young blue. Looks like one I killed a few yrs ago. But I'm sure it's possible. Odds are against it tho I believe.

Specs hate snows n blues !!! Lol jk

Who gives a damn what everyone thinks it is..... The gentleman is confident that it's a hybrid, so congratulate on his kill and quit picking apart his report.

If you have positive comments to add from here on out, we thank you. If not, keep your opinions to yourself.

We founded this site on not allowing bashing and opinionated comments on any hunting and fishing reports.....looks like it may be time to start swinging the hammer.

I know hunting season is winding down and everyone is getting cabin fever but chill out and be happy for his kill.

Thanks....

I killed a speck/snow cross about 10 years ago. mostly white with speck face and bill but brown mottle throughout. Had it mounted but lost it when my house burnt.

Now we cant have an opinion?

Well my opinion is that it does look like a young blue, BUT, it does look to have some brown on the neck and chest area.. Definitely a weird looking bird. But whatever it is, it is ugly as C H I T!

Did you have to leave a deposit at the taxidermist? I would check and see if it is refundable.

Any chance this is more about fishing instead of hunting?
