Dance Grand Isle 7/17-7/18

Went down to the island to have a look around since LDWF opened everything up. I only saw one area around the state park that had some oil sheen that has not been cleaned up. Other than that, the water is beautiful.

Also, I honestly can't remember seeing the amount of bait in the water around Grand Isle. There's mullet and shrimp everywhere. Everywhere you look, birds are diving. Plenty of trout too.

I spent 2 days fishing the island and limited out each day. It didn't matter what you threw; topwater, plastics under a cork, corkys... they were hitting everything.

I didn't have time to take any pictures while I was on the water, just some of the aftermath!

You should only have to throw them in the pot to cook, no need to add oil it's mixed in the flesh.

Good to see they're bitin. No fishing pressure helps a lot and to see it getting back to 'almost' normal. Missing that place more and more when I see reports like this. Keep us informed if you go back.
