Where were you on 9/11???

I was in fourth grade and the principal announced what had happened. I remember wondering what exactly they were talking about because I did not know what the twin towers were. When my dad came and got me after school he explained what had happened, and after i saw it on tv i finally grasped what a big deal this attack was. I remember my thoughts and feelings as i replayed that image over and over in my head. It was a lot for me, as a fourth grader, to grasp.

I was at Verm 175 on the liftboat Arapaho doing a retrofit job. Remember it like it was yesterday. And being a veteran and watching everything unfold on t.v., i felt sick and helpless. Will never forget.
