We had a camp at Constance beach for 15 years before Rita. If the green water gets around the rocks its on. This usually occurs after two days or more of north wind. Finger mullet work great for trout as well right before the waves break and of course around the points of the rocks.

You can do better for Reds around the rocks.
The Trout are 20 yards or so South of the rocks.
Some close to them, but better bite farther away from the rocks.

They sell a bright orange floating/wading net (can't miss it) at Academy for like $17. Good investment.

Can't drive on the beach anymore. Gotta drag your stuff out there.

I might get me a yak to I can get farther out. I don't like getting up on them rocks.
No place to hang stringer, lose too many fish getting them up on the rocks.
Busted my knees up a couple times last fall.

I might buy a wetsuit so I can get up there without getting busted up too bad.

I have been thinking of taking my 12' Aluminum with a trolling motor.

Since some time last summer. I think it started just before they planted a bunch of grass to help protect the sand beaches during storms.

That is correct. From just West of Holly Beach to past Constance Beach, they have signs say no driving on the beaches. Due to planted grass right after the big spill.
