Default New BlackJack

I want a new BlackJack and I am about ready to order one. What suggestions on which Yamaha to put on it? Also, does anyone know if Dawson Marine in Beaumont handles BlackJacks?

Bruce they had a guy in Gulfport with a 300 right after the BJ came out and supposedly Bill Kenner approved it for the larger motor. Not sure but I think it is only rated for 250 hp? Problem comes in with trying to insure it if the mfg rating is exceeded know one will write coverage.

exact same motor for all three just different computers. if you know someone you can get a yamaha rep to program your 200 to a 250 and the insurance doesnt know the difference because the serial numbers say 200.

Is there any concern that the SHO with the 20 inch shaft might be a little short? Also, do you think that boat needs the 36v trolling motor or is the 24 big enough?

Gotta get the jack plate with the Sho's short shaft.... 24v trolling motor should be fine.

Thanks for the reply cmdrost. I know Bruce Baugh has it on his and I am waiting to hear from him on how much he has to manipulate it on any given trip.

You will only need to set the jack plate one time....unless your at idle going into shallow water.
