Default Bill to ban "synthetic marijuana" passes

Back to drinking beer for Catdaddy.

A ban on a product called "synthetic marijuana" has received final passage from the Louisiana Legislature. The bill by Gretna Rep. Ricky Templet would prohibit the manufacture, sale and possession of the product that goes by names like "K2," "Voodoo," "FIYA" and "Spice."
They are sold as herbal incense but smoked like marijuana - and with similar effects. The mixture of herbs and spices is sprayed with a synthetic compound chemically similar to THC, the psychoactive ingredient in marijuana, and it's commonly sold in head shops and convenience stores.
The ban was given final passage Monday with a 32-0 vote of the state Senate. It heads to Gov. Bobby Jindal's desk.

seen that a while ago. you would think with the short fall in taxes they would be smart enough to leave well enough alone and collect taxes off this stuff. instead they are gonna spend money to try to stop it and all people will do is go back to the illegal stuff......i think they are loosing alot of money in tax revenue but hey what do i know i just build fences

That is my plan. Just have to get some cleaner. You would think the states budget problems would be enough reason to keep it legal. I guess they plan on sueing BP to get the rest of thier money.

My company gives me 3 week warning about the test. The cleaning agent was just insurance for the test. I was trying to stay legal by buying the synthetic, I guess it back to the other side of the law. Going back home to CA in another week time for some then some and some

Ironically enough, I just did a speech on this sorta thing in college 2 semesters ago...
-- According to Time Magazine, no one have ever died of “marijuana poisoning, mostly because a 160 lb. person would have to smoke roughly 900 joints in a sitting to reach a lethal does.
-- According to Rolling Stone, when Obama was asked about the decriminalization of marijuana, he said “I would start with nonviolent, first time offenders. The notion that we are imposing felonies on them or sending them to prison instead of thinking about ways such as drug courts that can get them back on track in their lives – it's expensive, it's counterproductive, and it doesn't make sense.”
-- It is estimated that marijuana is the largest cash crop in California, with an annual revenue approaching $14 billion. With a 10% marijuana tax it would yield more than $1.4 billion in revenue a year. Not including the countless number of jobs that would become available.

I know my ****! :]
