Take my advice.......
I was in the corps for 4 years active and was a SAergeant. I served 1 year in Japan and 7 months in Ramadi, Iraq in 2004. I was an Artillery Scout Observer. I basically called in 155mm Artillery rounds and destroyed everything in sight. It was fun at the time but the last time I checked the U.S. was't hiring mercenaries so my skills are useless in the civillian world. My point is take the aviation matience. Companies love Marines with knowledge. Always hard working and most of the skills are already there. Just my opinion ,but regardless it is good to know that there are some crazy *** cajun Marines out there serving our nation proud. God speed and Semper Fidelis !

i used to drive the bradley.....them tow are pretty bad. we use to shoot them at night at polk all the time pretty neat at night.......have fun and keep your head up. when boot camp is over you will look back and say that wasn't that bad. first 2 weeks suck after that you got it whipped i was in army but infantry i can't imagine marines to be much different......if i had it to do over i would have been some sort of engineer you still get to play with all the guns in basic. actual basic is alot shorter too; mos training is longer though (small price to pay) as academy said try to find something that will benefit you when you get out.

Good luck, Godspeed, and Semper Fi. I served from 90-95 and my MOS was 6057/6097, FA-18 hydraulics and structures. I would definately go aviation. However, whatever you choose is your decision. Thanks for your service.
