Default Were you one of them?

Were you one of the thirty boats in a 50 yd radius at the super cut on biglake Friday morning???

That was amazing sight as we were traveling south on the ship channel...one set of working birds and approx thirty boats...I am not exaggerating either...

been fishing big lake for almost 15 years and i thought i was very familiar with it but i can't figure this one out...

what/where is the "super cut"

oh and yeah, i rarely fish weekends...the crowds are unbearable and i'm not just talking about on the water, the boat launches are my primary source of frustration. so my fishing is mostly weekday afternoons and the occasional vacation day during the week.

I saw about 10 boats that completely circled the shell hill around the washout at 11 am fri. They were within casting distance of the land. I guess they were catching.

Exactly why I don't fish Big Lake anymore....Well that, and I live further away.

I have retreated to the lonely flats of Rockefeller for a long time now...

Like La Angler said, when duck hunting season comes back around that will be the time.

Nothing like picking your school of fish at Turners after a hard cold front in November/December. Do you want Reds or specks....Try this group of birds, no try that one.

Last year it was still loaded with people even after hunting season started. Just have to learn to deal with crowds,or stay home.

yeah you right! but then there are still crowds. I've learned to fish current lines near working groups of birds. Just as many fish but no boats =) Did that last year and we often caught better fish than most
