I've been in the woods bow hunting since Sept. 18th. But this will be the first weekend that it will be enjoyable. I have been sweating my booty off.

Yep, I went to Clear Creek 2 weeks ago. Talk about hot and miserable, it freakin sucked.

I'm thinking about pissing myself off and hitting the camp just to get out of town. We have a 5 acre field about 200 yards from the camp. There are always tons of deer just before dark so I can go take some pictures and drink so crowns. Plus I can drink myself stoooopid since I don't have to get up early to hunt.

I went check my cameras yesterday. I left them up for 3 weeks but messed up and set my cameras on a 1 minute delay instead of 5 minutes. Filled both memory cards in less than 11 days. So I didnt get any pics while it was sitting there for a week and a half. One camera took 1297 pictures. The other one, 325. Thats all they would hold. Nothing special: does, lots of fawns, and a few 1-2 1/2 yr old bucks in velvet.
Im leaving for Wyoming on Thursday for mule deer/antelope hunt. Will be the first time i missed opening weekend of bow season since i was probably 5-6 yrs old. But I will be back Monday ready to stick something.

Well like I told you the other day........just aint that mad at them right now.....but did get to see some really good bucks on camera from the past couple weeks. Kinda got the blood flowing a lil bit. Bunch of guys at the camp have a lot of pictures of bucks, a lot of good ones too, several 130's to maybe 140's.

Chad yall had any problems with coyotes? One of our guys had his camera out for a week, 37 pictures & 36 were of coyotes

We just put out 6 plotmaster cameras last week. 4 to watch the woods and two to watch the coons. My uncle who ownes the land has the $$$. I'm not spending $200 on one camera. I saw one yote last year and that was it. The weather is going to be in the 50's in the mornings. That should get you going.

Same for me.

I was planning to make my first Bow hunt.....Today.

But I got into a couple of projects yesterday and just felt too tired to enjoy getting up early enough to be sitting in a tree before daylight.

Planning to go hunting in the morning........but the beach fishing reports may have me headed that way, in a couple of days.

One of my best every fishing trip started out being in the woods Deer hunting at dawn. The pic. is only the 75 Trout and some reds that we kept. Many more were released.

I got the itch BAD this year. This will be my 1st year bow hunting but I won't be able to get in a stand til the 16th. Went to the camp this past weekend to get all the plots planted and set up a new bow stand.
