Default Long weekend

Fished Fallin Tide Kayak Tourney this weekend out of Empire along with 100 other kayakers. 2 of us decided to make the long haul for big trout as we thought it would be big trout to make the board. Long paddle it was! We paddled from Tidewater Rd out Red Pass and fished the beaches and surrounding areas! 16 miles round trip! It was a long paddle but worth the trip just for the scenery. Found some good trout but water started falling quick and after a couple 17" trout they shut down. Bullreds were everywhere! We caught 2 that were over 40". I caught one on 10lb test that took forever to get in. Great area out there and will do it again. The bad part. Wind in our face and hard falling tide..... 4 hr paddle back!!!! Yeah it was rough!!!
