We had 3 teal and one spoonie. There must have been 50-75 boats at Gary's Landing. We also saw a lot of squealers but none close enough to shoot. A lot of pintails high. No big ducks came in. Talk at the landing was of the low water levels in a lot of the areas. A friend hunted just south of Sabine Refuge and they got one teal. They talked to several guys at the Sabine launch and the story was 3 birds per boat, mostly teal, and low water levels that made it really hard to get back in the marsh. Another friend and his 2 sons hunted in the Sweet Lake area and had 11 birds, teal and a couple of grays. Other blinds on the lease were bringing in 18 birds per blind. If we don't get some rain it might be a poor year for those of us who hunt in the marsh and can't pump water into the ponds.
