Academy is cheaper, I live closer to bass pro but I work right by academy on Seigan LN in Baton Rouge, I shop mostly at bass pro I like there brand of plastics there softer and have good action, but I buy the H2O academy brand hard baits there a little cheaper and have a good action, I get tired of buying $6 red eye shad lipless crankbaits when I can buy something similiar for $3 that still catches fish.

I ain't from yawls neck of the woods so I'm real surprised to see someone not preferring local tackle shops over corporate giants. The locals shop I know can get practically anything I need for less and give me an extra unadvertised loyal customer discount. A few extra dimes maybe for somethings but overall I make out and support a great local business. I don't shop walmart neither. Just saying.

Majority of the local shops around here are about the same price as the big corporates..
