Mike Larue, with his 33 and a quarter inch trout,caught Wed., Feb.9, 2011. 12.4 lbs. On a pearl corky. Baffin Bay, Texas...

Mike was prefishing for the Baffin Bay Bash, a tournament scheduled for the following weekend when the trout ate his corky. The big trout on tournament day , a 10.2 lb fish also ate a corky, redshad in color. That should keep some of those Texans to the west of us...

The old Texas state record was the same exact length and weighed 13.69 lbs. The trout was also caught in February back in 1996 by Jim Wallace of Houston...
