Default Bass on fly!

I went to a little pond by the house this afternoon with Yak'em. I wanted to try out my frog popper I tied a few weeks ago. Caught around 6 on the bug and then another 15 or so on conventional. It was nice to get out and catch some greenies!

By-catch if you are looking for a fly rod let me know. I have 7,8,and 9 weights available for under $200. They are 3 piece rods that come with an extra tip and a carrying case that will fit your reel!

Nice! I have never tried throwing a fly rod before. Im not big on bass fishing but if I learned how to throw a fly it would be more exciting. Have alot of ponds right around my office that are full of bass.

Nice catch.

If you need someone to test 1 of those frog poppers over here, I'll be more than happy to try it on the river for you.

That looks like a "killer" bass fly.

Is one that size a little harder to "throw"?

Is that some info you can share? I just so happen to have an hour off for lunch, spending that time fishing would be cool.

They are in Opelousas, that's where I work. Not much around Lafayette. Only ponds I bass fish in Lafayette are the Veaux Chene golf course(until we get ran off ) and a little pond behind my buddy's house in Youngsville.
