My parents were spared, but alot of downed trees and will probably be without power for several days. Thank God for generators. Pray for those that lost homes. It was pretty bad here. |

Georgetown, bout 30 miles due north of Alex and 60 miles south of Monroe on hwy 165.
Those that drive through will recognize this town and the "slow down" place with that over pass. So far 4 that I know of have lost homes and another 10 or so badly damaged. m My dad didnt know it, but part of the roof was blown off at their house and they were home at the time. My mom is disabled and my dad draws SS but they dont have money to repair it. I will be getting some tarps to do what I can, but I have been unemployed since November. This hits at a bad time for sure. At least no lives were lost as far as I know. |

No sherriff here, Billy Prince is Chief of Police.
Earl Self came out of retirement to help out the town. Lot of trees down. My parents were told it may be a week before they get power back. Power lines down all over. We are being told it may have been as many as 6 tornadoes. I personally saw 3. As far as I know right now, no one lost there lives so we were very blessed. |
