Gents the Trout fishing has been spotty in March and the first week of April, catching 15-20 when the wind lays down, nice size though, we’ve had some in the 4-6lb range, historically May is when the reefs start heating up. Still catching limits of reds in the marsh mixed in with flounder.
· Something new for a change, just like Baffin Bay, Lake Calcasieu produces Big Trout and plenty of them.
· Liberal limits-15 Trout, 10 Flounder 5 Reds
· $500 per/boat
· 2.5 Hour drive from Houston, 3 hours from New Orleans, take Hwy 27 South to Hackberry La.
· New Lodge accommodates up to 10 guest, plenty of covered parking for vehicles or boats, camp is raised up 9 ft in the air, plenty of room for cooking and visiting without getting baked by the Sun.
· Charter Captains are available for morning and afternoon trips, only $5.00 for 3 day license when fishing with a guide.
