got a 15' allweld wit 60 johnston tring to get max RPM'S out of it wit total control got to trim all the way down to get out of hole which is no problem it comes out plenty fast enuff.Now come problem i have to trim up alot to only have the last 2 feet of boat in water motor is max out but only have little control i dont likr that. Ive been reading about trim tabs but would like ya'll opinion if so what size and would the automatic ones work ok i really dont have room for hydrollic ones any thoughts on this. THANKS, BRAD

You could just get a set of manual adjusting (or lenco electric) trim tabs, by tabbing down just a bit and then trimming your engine out it will actually stop the porpoising some but still lifts the bow. Then you can talk to a prop guy and make a few adjustments there, also jackplate adjustments.

Lenco style tabs are overkill on a aluminum flat. We usually just weld on trim tabs with 4" flat bar and that solves the problem. Of couse you still have to spend some time running the boat to find the sweet spot with the tabs.

montuk 17 there is a set of tabs welded on there they are 8"by2" should i try an bend them down some would that help

Yes I would bend them down,but 2" does not do much. You need 4"
