I was waiting for that. Lol. This one is less than 2 years old. I'm about 400 in this project. Wife gonna start *****ing if I spend more. Lol.

Who did the work? If you had a shop do it stay on their *** till its right. I have no idea what could be wrong, just thoight id throw that motorguide out there for you!

I had same problem w my minnkota... I threw that p.o.s. Out n bought a motor guide, problem solved

according to the minn kota site if its only 2 yrs old or less its under warranty

Maybe the motor shaft is also bent. Try turning the prop with your hand and then do the same on another Trolling motor to make a comparison. Does the motor run smooth while it is out of the water? When you turn it off [out of the water] how fast does the prop stop turning? Compare that to another TM. If you hit something to damage the TM...... maybe the motor mounting brackets [they are probably plastic] broke and the motor is "in a bind". Could the problem be as simple as....... there is some fishing line wrapped around the shaft just behind the prop? |
