Changes to the site 5/17/11 - PLEASE READ

I was able to meet with Shadman yesterday and he was very helpful in providing administrative training regarding structural changes to the site. Some of you will really like most of the changes that were made; almost all of you will not like all of the changes that were made. That being said all of the changes that were made were made based upon what I believe to be the best long term interest of the site. The changes were as follows:

1) Salty Cajun Cash - Later today you should see a button at the top of the site near the store tag that will show three drawings that we are having. I purchased a Curado reel, Costa Del Mar Sunglasses, and a Salty Cajun Shirt all of which will be part of a drawing to be held on 5/29/11. Please use your current SC cash to buy tickets to the drawing. I wanted to give something back to the site before we rest everyone to zero Salty Cajun cash. After 5/29 all SC cash will be set to zero. I plan to have several drawings like this in the future to encourage posting, premium memberships, sponsorships and referrals. I also will exchange $1,500 of SC cash (after 5/29) for a free SC shirt of your choice (limit 2 per year).

2) Fishing reports - The guide section has been deleted and all guide posts are welcome on this site. I want to encourage as many posts as possible as this is primarily a fishing website. I have increased the amount of SC cash to $25 per new thread in the fishing report section and another $5 for pictures that are posted. Now that SC cash actually has value I hope to see many more reports. Additionally we are going to very closely police the fishing reports section. If someone has a negative comment (fish look small, boat is ugly, anyone could have caught fish that day) there is a very good chance you will find yourself banned from the site. This site is intended to be a brotherhood, if someone (even a guide) is nice enough to share a report or information with you please do not return the favor by insulting them.

3) Enter at your own risk forums - Gill net, sports forum, political section all have been moved to premium membership. There will be very little moderating going on now in these sections so have fun with it.

4) Premium memberships - Please support the site, bandwidth cost a great deal of money and keeping the site going is very expensive and time consuming. A one year membership will cost $50 and will get you access to the entire enter at your own risk forums, provide the ability to change your user settings and I will now give $300 of SC cash to all new one year premium memberships. Shorter memberships are available.

5) Sponsorships - This site has been great for my accounting firm and I think it will help anyone that is looking to grow their business. I will provide a commission of 10% for any new sponsors referred by members of this site that sign up for a full year. Also if you are a member and would like to sponsor the site, I will credit you with the 10% discount. Additionally I will provide an upgrade to premium status (with $300 of SC cash) for any sponsor referrals that result in a one year sponsorship. Our current one year rate is $500, six months is $300 and our quarterly rate is $200.

6) Fighting & Personal Attacks & Other - We will not tolerate personal attacks, profanity, nudity, racial comments or fighting in any forum on any section of the site other than the premium section. There is no one on this site that is above being banned if we cannot all treat each other with respect.

7) LSU background - I have brought back the sites original purple and gold colors as the default colors. Those of you that are premium members have the option of changing the background in the lower left hand corner of your screen. I am a Saints fan as well but I felt like the purple and gold theme was appropriate.

8) An Events section has been created below the general section for all events including SC events.

9) The boating forum has been moved from the hunting section to the fishing section.
