Well I wish I would have turned around and went home. We started at 5:30 this morning ran all the way to the south end around long point got one small trout. Went around nine mile and the water muddy up a bit found a few birds but just ladyfish. Fished down the channel heading north and picked up about six small reds more reds. Water looked good from nine mile north.WIND WAS KICKIN

We tried to make a trip offshore today.Got out about & miles and turned that baby around. Said it was going to be 2 to 4 and calming down by afternoon. WRONG 3 to 5 with a 7 every once and awhile. Water down at the jetties was dirty but North was better.

We was in a 28ft and it wasnt pretty. Yes we could have made it out 60 miles but we would have been beat up to no end

if you can make it into the wiers maybe try the marsh back there?

your gonna need to find a marsh to go to i think. If i were you i would go the other way and drive an extra 30 mins or so and go to the houma area

I went behind the weirs Wednesday and it was still too windy to use the trolling motor. Had to use the anchor. It all depends on the wind direction.
