Default no luck

we started out heading to the wash out.i had on slap at my lure and my buddy caught nothing but hard heads.we then headed to the old steam emgine.once again no luck.suddenly the birds started to gather just a little south of the engine.we trolled over and my buddy caught one speck and i still continued to throw top water.i had some look but no takers.i will try my luck sat morning.i am fishing by myself if any of you saltycajuns want to come and give me some pointers.

Every time I fish the steam engine, all I catch is small specks. It is hardly ever productive for me, no matter what I use.
