Default Fleas

My dog has recently developed a flea problem when she had an encounter with the neighborhood mut. Anyone got a good flea med? I know frontline is pretty good, but its a little pricey.

good luck, I have been fightin fleas fot three months. I have bought sprays, dips, shampoo, colar and anything else and then I talked to a guy and he told me somthin crazy that worked. Some people may say not to do this but give it a lead shot between eyes and put it in the ground and your problem will go away.....hehe j/k. Go to the store and get Pine-sol and mix with water and dip your dog and the fleas will die and then take and wash with Don dish soap, sounds crazy but its the only thing that has worked to realy get them off the dog and the Don is supose to repel fles and skeeters. I sprayed my yard with Hi-Yield 32 from a feed store and its good for about any bug that moves but you will have to spray once a week for a few weeks and keep washin and dippin dog if you see fleas on it agin.

go to your local vet. get two pills one fights heartworms and acts like birth control for fleas called sentinel but it wont kill fleas immediately. Another pill called comfortis will kill them upon being bitten within an hour. I've yet to see a dog in my clinic on both of these with a flea on them. The baths will only help temporarily, the pills will last a month at a time.

Just gave her a bath with some palmolive dish soap. rolled her over and saw lots of dead fleas. will have to let her spend the night in her kennel inside and check her tomorrow.

I used to spray around my kennel with a clorox and water mix. It would take care of the little buggers for a while. Concentrate on getting them off the dog and then treat the area he usually stays before he goes back out there. If you dont take care of both it will be a constand fight.

This is exactly what I need to do. I'm cutting the grass around her kennel shorter than I normally would and I need to spray grass killer around the slab and then treat her area with some type of FLEA BE GONE stuff.
