Cheers Sand Eels In Hopedale

Fished yesterday and tried something new...i was at academy the night before and decided to see what these sand eels are all about..hit the mouth of the MRGO before daylight..looked out and seen nothing but storms way off..looked at mah best friend and he said we better make it quick..took the chance and ran to battledoor reef put a lsu colored sand eel on and bam it was on...we were limited by 6:55 and cleaning fish at the marina by 8:05 trying to beat the storm..nothing to big but hey couldnt aske for more..no pics due to the rush we were in a hurry to beat the storm..but i just wanted to make a report..

BTW..i like sand eels...im usually a DD guy but i deff will throw eels more often....

Its about around a 30-45 minute run in a boat from the rocks...if i was you id run bayou terra beouf all the way to black bay then shoot over..the only reason i was at the rocks that early was cause i was gonna hit Breton Island but the storms out that a ways had me scared...fishin is hot at battledore though..
