Default Red South Big Lake 8-8-11

Well after blown trailer tire two miles before the launch me and I my buddy put in at the Jetties and ran away from the wind. The few spots we know were muddy because of the wind so we drove further north until we found some decent looking water. Ended the day with only 8 Reds to show for our efforts... I will take that any day. My buddy caught his limit and I was two short...maybe next time. All Reds were caught on the bottom on shrimp. Start the rough ride back and within a couple hundred yards of the launch the fuel line becomes magically cut I troll while my buddy fixes the line. We then proceed to head home when 5 miles down the road the spare trailer tire blows out. Which then takes us all the way to Lake Charles to find a replacement tire. Lesson of the day check your trailer tires often and make sure your spare is in good shape also. Oh well, more of a fishing story/experience. Even though it was not good for him, at least it was not my rig for once. A side note was that to all those Wade fishermen out there, Ya'll are the man to do what ya'll do. We watched some people wade fishing around us and were pulling in tons of 2-3 foot stingrays. Sorry for the blurry pic.
