Default The end to a weekend....

I had a great time spending the weekend down at Heberts and fishing the tournament. The family decided it would be a great day to go tubing and knee boarding, so I left BL went home grabbed the boat, everyone loaded up and we went and launched at 2-10 launch.

Went tubing for a few hours and then the storm and lightning started to hit. Pulled the boat out of the water and was going to let the storm blow over and lightning stop only to pull around in the parking lot and have 2 U bolts break and then a 3rd one as I was dragging it out of everyone's way....

Decided to call a wrecker with a roll back to come get it for me....No one would come get a boat that size.....I was in a bind but gave my good friend and Brother Mason a call and to my resucue he came....

What an ending to a good weekend. Not complaining though because it always could have been worse.....

I'm going to launch the boat in a friends pond and work everything over.

Just wondering people's thoughts on the stainless steel Ubolts....I am a Macinist and have dealt with a lot of different metals. Even with the different series of stainless, it is a softer steel compared to carbon steel.

Does anyone have the stainless Ubolts and if so have you had any problems.

I agree.....I was laughing the whole way home. If I would have a dollar for every look we got I would be as rich as W....we even pulled it through the middle of town. People were taking pics everywhere with their phones...if you can't laugh then your not living.

I asked my trailer Guy about them and he said they were to soft......I went galvanized and put a bunch of paint on them before they met the salt water......

On another note.....what's the gestation period for trailers? Cause it looks like your gonna have a litter!!!

Like a champ....we had a lot of chains and binders on it. You can't see most of them....and I know it was unbalanced but once we got it over 2-10 bridge it was all down hill...lol
