Default Toledo Bend 10/2-10/2

Fished South end of Toledo in Buck Creek and Indian Creek. Picked up several bass on ribbits and worms as well as on flukes in shad color. bass were schooling and chasing schools of shad in the main boat lanes. Dropped a green light saturday night in about 20' of water and picked up a dozen slab white perch, a couple white bass and a couple catfish on live shiners. Forgot camera at home so no pics. Not a slam 'em in the face fishing trip but a very relaxing weekend of fishing, beer drinking, eating, and deer scouting mid day. Weather was freakin' awesome!

Only problem with fishing on the Bend right now is boat launches available and being able to safely run on the lake.

If it gets to 159, you will have to use an aluminum and a 4 wheeler to launch.

That said, I am game for a trip. May want to wait till spring and hopefully we will get some rain before then.

South Toledo State Park is hard to book the cabins. Has to be done well in advance.
