Default 8-23-09 Weatherman was wrong again!

Apparently sombody called Mother nature & reminded her that Ray was home!

I got out on the lake @ 5:45 AM. The wind was every bit of 10-15 mph ENE. I still managed to get some meat though. 4 reds, 1 speck & a friend of mine caught a drum he wanted to keep.

Seriously, I would like to punch the weather man in the junk!! I feel your pain. We planned to go offshore today in my padnah's boat but we didn't even make it to the jetties and we knew we were screwed. Fished a little along the channel to kill some time and rode down to the jetties just for sh*ts and grins. Man it was rough and the water looked like a Yoo-Hoo!

We ran around the upper ship channel and Prien Lake today in our Chris Craft. The winds were not that bad that far up. We saw a lot of boats fishing the banks, from 14 ft. alum. flats to some 24 ft. bay boats. Lots early, after lunch not as many. All I saw them pulling in were hard heads and undersized specks. Didn't see anyone pulling in any keepers.
We ate lunch at L'auberge's Nevie Beach Club. Talk about some fine waitress's. They were wearing bikini's. Super fine chicks... Way super fine.
